WHMDC SMS Manager

WHMDC includes a powerful SMS Manager that lets you send text notifications to clients and staff directly from your WHMDC billing platform. Whether you need one-time verification codes, invoice reminders, support ticket alerts, or custom messages, the system handles it all with a unified interface and configurable templates.

What the SMS Manager Does

The SMS Manager integrates throughout WHMDC. It can send:

OTP (One-Time Passwords) - Verification codes for login, registration, or mobile number validation
Invoice Notifications - Alert clients when new invoices are generated
Support Ticket Alerts - Notify clients when tickets are opened, replied to, or closed
Service Notifications - Warn clients when services are suspended or terminated
Custom Messages  - Send ad-hoc SMS from the admin area to any number

Each event type has its own template, so you can customise the wording and include placeholders such as {pin}, {invoice_number}, {amount}, and {ticket_number}. All messages are logged for audit and troubleshooting.

Configuration & Per-Client Opt-In

Configure your chosen provider in Settings > SMS within the admin panel. Each provider has its own API credentials and optional settings (e.g. sender ID, route type). The system supports per-client opt-in via the receive_sms flag, so clients can choose whether to receive SMS notifications.

SMS reaches clients where email sometimes doesn't, especially for time-sensitive alerts like OTP codes or payment reminders.
